Onewhero Thunder

Franklin Basketball, in partnership with Onewhero Area School want to build basketball from the ground up in order to provide opportunities for kids from 5-17 years to learn skills and play competition games. 

To join the Thunder club you must either live or attend school within the Tuakau, Onewhero & Pokeno and surround areas. 

Each school term is a new season and requires players to be re-registered prior to the registration closing date.

Term 4 Program Details

Trainings Dates for all ages are 22nd, 29th October, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th November & 10th December.

Under 10 (2015, 2016)

 

Approx Training Times:

Tuesday's 3:15-4:00pm

(8 Week Program)

 

Venue: Onewhero Area School Hall

Fees: $90 per player

Under 14 (2011 & 2012)

Approx Training Times:

Tuesday's 4:00-4:45pm

(8 Week Program)

 

Venue: Onewhero Area School Hall

Fees: $130 per player

Under 16 (2009 & 2010)

Approx Training Times:

Tuesday's 4:45-5:45pm

(8 Week Program)

 

Venue: Onewhero Area School Hall

Fees: $130 per player

Competition Dates

Smith & Sons Junior Club League

U10-U14 Grades

When: Fridays any time from 4:00pm - 9:30pm starting from 1st November to 13th December

Venue: Franklin Pool & Leisure 

Senior Club League

U16/U18 Grades

When: Wednesdays anytime from 5:00pm-8:00pm starting from 23rd October to 11th December

Venue: Franklin Pool & Leisure

Note: There will be games on Tuesday 3rd December to make up for the missed Friday due to Labour Weekend.

Player fees:
  • This covers team entry, uniform hireage & training costs for the term. 

  • Fees payable at confirmation of registration and is required to finalise registration for the term. 

Annual Association Affiliation (AAA) fee $25.00 :

  • The AAA fee affiliates of each individual player to Franklin Basketball Association on an annual basis. 

  • Assists in the overall funding of basketball development in our region through in schools programmes, referee & coach development, club resourcing and our sustainable clubs initiative.
